The Poorly Rich! #Part3

I was yet not over the fight which happened at the lunch table but who gave a damn about it, I just heard a squeal from dad's room. It was mom.
I checked the antique wall clock in my room, it showed 2.10 am.
I just made a random guess that dad was home, and as I moved towards their room I was sure that I guessed it right.
I peeked inside the room, the dal was all over the floor. Mom stood in a corner, pampering her hand.
'How could he be such a devil?' I thought.
"Now you realize how hot was it?" He gave a wicked smile to mom while his hands pulled her hair, followed by a few more cuss words in the honor of my mother. My mom pleaded to let go off her.
"Dad, leave her. She's hurt." I howled. Tears running down my face.
"Me and your mamma are just playing Mallika. Go to sleep." He tried to convince me.
"I'm not a kid anymore dad. Leave her now. I know she's getting hurt." I ran to mom to see if she needed an ointment on her wound.
It was blood shot. I went to get the first aid box, while he just cursed her a bit more.
I bandaged her hand and took her to my room. That night, I hugged her tight and made her sleep. I've always been close to her. Why wouldn't I be? She was a mother, a father, a friend and a guide to me. When ever I felt weak in my knees, she was always there to support me, and now here I am, big enough to support her.
That night, I just lied on my bed, with my life in my arms. Sleep was miles away from me. In a distant land, maybe.
I wondered how long would it all go, or is it forever? It wasn't like this since always. There was a time when he was the father which every child wished for, and now, I couldn't find a better name for him than devil. That's the amount of hate I carried for him. I wondered if my feelings even bothered him? I don't think so. His money and his son was important maybe.

But the coming month, changed my life forever. Let's wait and watch, whether he becomes a father or just climbs up another level of success and becomes more distant from us.
