On The Roof, In The Rain ❤ #Part14 #LastChapter

Mishqa went to her room and spread out all the papers that she got. She first analysed the degree, a diploma in astrology. It was unique yet it scared her. What was it all upstairs then? She thought.
She looked at Sarah's pictures, they looked as if they were a few recent pics. It also included the pictures where Sarah was sitting in a corner, all scaree while something was spilled all over her place. Mishqa wondered what it was. Then she analysed the PET scan. Being a psychologist, she could understand it well, but she didn't want to believe in the horrors of that report. It was a PET scan of a patient named Nadeem Malik. In comparison to a normal brain, Nadeem's brain showed significantly decreased area of activity in the frontal lobe which is linked to empathy and morality. Such a PET scan is linked to a psychopathic. 'A psychopath and an astrology student, he definitely did something to Sarah.' Mishqa thought to herself.
'How can I help her now?' Mishqa was in a world of confusions and doubts.
The best way out was to directly talk to this guy Nadeem. She got up and went across the road, climbed a few stairs and knocked. Her heartbeat was at the fastest pace ever.
He, the devil opened the door. Mishqa thought what he might be thinking of, 'did he see another prey in me?' She wondered.
"Umm.. Hi! Is Sarah home?" Mishqa asked hesitantly.
"Yeah she is! But she ain't well. May I know who are you and why do you wanna meet her?" He questioned.
"I'm a childhood friend. Can I see her?" She asked, peeping inside the house.
"She's asleep. Can you visit her later?" He said closing the door behind him.
Mishqa could see a mortar lit inside the house.
"Doesn't matter. I'll wait for her to get up." She said and walked inside in haste.
Before Nadeem could stop her, she was standing right in front of the whole set up. Around the mortar, lied a few lemons, a skull which was red in color, colors like yellow, white and red made a few patterns on the floor.
"What's all this? What's going on?" She shouted.
Nadeem pinned her to the wall.
"I asked you not to enter. Now you're as dead as a doornail." Nadeem whispered in her ear.

She put her hand in her pocket and grabbed out a gun. She pointed it in his stomach.
"You better leave me or I'll shoot. I can surely prove this to as a self defense act. So leave me now." Mishqa said, as calmly as she could.
Nadeem got away from her.
"What do you want? Who are you?" He was caught now. At least that's what he felt.
"I am who I am, I need not give my intro to you. But you better tell me what are you planning to do and what all have you done in the past? I want the whole story or I'll shoot." Mishqa terrified him, with the gun.
"Okay. Okay. I'll say it all to you. Please don't shoot." He said, while he was paralysed with fear.
"I saw Sarah for the first time at the near by metro station and I followed her to her place, she noticed I guess and she complained it to Dishank who had a bash up with me. The next day, I found myself an apartment near her place coz she was too pretty to be left away. I wasn't in love but her aura captivated me and I destroy things which I'm addicted to. Therefore, I planned to destroy her. I was the one who threw the acid bottles just to get access to her. Though destiny played it's game on it's own and she doubted her boyfriend though I planned her break up too with my internal powers I made those doubts creep in. I was the one who encircled her place with that pigment. I was the one who lied about not sending the texts to her. It was always me. Always. Yet this innocent girl didn't get it. Poor her. I had to have her since she insulted me. I had to take my revenge on her. That's why I did it all. I couldn't let her be with someone else. What can't be mine, can't belong to anyone else either. I was about to complete my task. I would have captured her soul in her body forever and would have kept her with me forever. But you ruined, I'll just won't spare you." Nadeem got up from his seat to grab hold of her, anger was at it's peak in his eyes. They were bloodshot.
In a jiffy, Mishqa pressed the trigger and he was shot. Blood oozed out of his heart. He fell on the floor. Mishqa fell with a thud, unconscious on the floor.
Sarah opened her eyes to the sight, but had no clue to what was happening. She made Mishqa gain consciousness. She was happy to see Sarah back to life, with no marks or dark circles or pale skin.

Nadeem was gone, and so was the devil. Sarah had a life. A happy one. Where no evil to capture her again. Mishqa was happy to have her lovely doll back with her, yet she was scared of the future. The fact that she killed someone was hard to digest but maybe that was the only option.

Life can be really uncertain. You never know when and where you unknowingly give birth to a new enemy by your actions. But in the end what is left is what you've to cherish, and Sarah was left with something. A friend, a sister, a companion in Mishqa who'll do anything just for her. Value the people in your life. You never know who might be truly yours while you're busy chasing someone else to be with you.
