Wedding Series! The Shadows!

I had to let things go. I just had to. It was inappropriate of me to hold her back, to make her love me till my last breath while here I was leaving her soon. Even if it wasn't out of will but our destinies had a different game for us. She was to meet me in another 5 minutes. No matter how hard I may try, I couldn't resist seeing her angelic face every once in a while. She always held that divine look in her eyes, the one which said that I was the epitome of love, serenity and loyalty for her. I wondered how will I look her into those magical eyes today, how will I reveal this one deep dark secret.

The Sun was about to set and I awaited her until she came like a moonlight into my life. The Sun and the Moon were against each other, at the same time and in the same horizon. She was a mystic beauty, landed on Earth right up from the heaven, but I was just a follower it seems, not the conquerer of her. I knew, I resided in her heart but not in her life though she was still unaware of this one heart breaking news, I had no option than to hide it from my eyes. Drenched in the colour of serenity and peace, she walked up to me and planted a kiss on my cheek, my head wondered if it was the last I'll ever receive. Her ever so beaming smile, parted to greet me.

"Hey! Sup?" Reya asked. Reya, the queen, the queen of my heart only I wasn't to be her king.
"Nothing much! Was just too eager to meet you." I replied, a fake smile stuck to my lips and to my soul.
"Uhuh! Eager to meet me? Since when did this happen, that Mr. Shaunak Dahiya is eager to meet me?" She mocked me, or maybe the situation did.
"Oh shut up! I always missed you, all this while." I had this choked feeling in my stomach which was rising every passing moment. My always nonchalant eyes, had doubts and secrets hidden in them this evening.
"I can read what you're hiding from me so speak up soon." She said while I was taken aback wondering if I was so transparent to her.

She looked straight into my eyes, hunting for the reasons why they were so anxious. The Sun was at the perfect position to set now and so were we. Lost into each other's eyes. She was fiddling with my insides while I was too scared of the same look she held for me, the look where I was the epitome of her beliefs. We were held close enough to each other, closer than we thought we'll ever be. Our shadows kissed each other under the setting Sun.

"I'm getting married." I broke the chilling silence under warm Sun which was untouched to us. She had a devastated look in her eyes, the tears reaching out to the shore of her deep eyes. They lost their sparkle as it drained of her eyes with that one lost tear.
Reya didn't walk back but walked closer as our shadows reunited again under the setting Sun. It was the last I would see her, but our shadows will remember the embrace of each other till the end of forever.
