Wedding Series! Her Purity!
She was surrounded by the crowd of a million relatives. Her near and dear ones were hovering over her head, making her feel special for it was her time. She was getting married. :)
The wedding bells were set and their clinging was a melody to her father's ears. Her mother was to happy to be felt, she always carried a pain of departure in her eyes yet a smile full of blessings was what touched her lips, but yet, here she was in the kernel of a thousand people and yet so lonely.
She was lost, she was lost somewhere between his aura and her conflict. She knew she was getting married in less than 4 days but she also knew that 4 days still belonged to her. She can still be a lover than be a wife to a distant person, a soul she knew nothing about, a soul she was so devoid of that she couldn't even reach out to. The only conversation ever held between them was,
"Are you a virgin?" Mayank, her would- be asked.
"Yes." Aashima told him with an obvious look on her face.
"In that case, let's get married." He said and walked off to his parents and gave them the approval.
She had a feeling as if she was sold on the basis of her "purity", as people call it. But she knew she had lied. She knew that her love for Akansh was stronger than her responsibilities. She couldn't marry him, his liabilities didn't allow him to but how was she going to give up on the links, the memories and the together she had dreamt, she had no clue. She didn't feel the need to be happy, but she smiled, she smiled because her parents had taken a decision for just a smile for a lifetime, her laugh was left behind with Akansh.
It was her engagement and yet, the ring she wore belonged to him. It was her mehendi yet the earring she wore belonged to him. Yes. That earring, the one which he gifted as a token of his forever, a promise he made, a promise that he'll remain. She was bonded to his givings, yet the most valuable one which she shared was with the li'l golden earring, the one he gifted when she first met him. She didn't wish to leave things behind so, she decided to fall in love with every little thing he owned, even her heart.
The earring which dangled from her ear was the reason behind the constant smile on her face. She wasn't bothered about whether he'll be with her or not, she knew he can't be, but what she was happy about was, what Mayank though of his own, belonged to someone else, someone who didn't care about her purity and loved her even when she didn't belong to him, anymore.
