Turning Back Time ~ Shravya Gunipudi!

"Sometimes, the inevitable is learnt by the ones who had lost memory, yet what we forget is, they live experience, and they preach life, the life which is universal."

Shravya Gunipudi turns back the pages of life to experience the course of life, the one which happened then, the one which repeats now. Turning Back Time is a novel which makes you travel through time only to learn the prominent lessons of life. From one page to another, you can relate how much one is losing on, in order to fulfil the greed of money, in order to win the race which will never end. It will make you learn the inevitable lessons of life, the ones which aren't taught in books, but only under the guidance of a soul, who's always there to guide you through the hours of darkness.

Alia, a girl who's scared to face the consequences of the future, the one who believes to live for the future first than the present, a distant woman with an ever so distracted soul, earns her living while working in an old age home. Emotionally attached to each one of them, it breaks her heart when they leave her, forever but every departure makes her know a new truth to life, another dimension, another phase, and another piece of their own memory. The depression and trauma they leave behind with her was also a blessing, a blessing which brought her to a realisation, a realisation that life is beautiful, beautiful enough to live the present without doubts, a life full of hopes and wishes. Every story she learns from the elderly makes her a different person, for herself, for others, and most importantly for them.

A complete circle of life, death and what lays in between, this story makes me realise that how important the present it, how irrelevant the past has been, and how lost the future will be. The author has surely lived up a lot of expectations. A really great piece of work, Shravya!
