18 Via Teen ~ Shreyasi Rhittika

"A time when you're too young to do half of the things and to old to do the other half is when you can call yourself a teenager."

Living the various phrases of life, a teenager finds it's way to find it's own identity and that makes the whole difference. Experiencing the numerous emotions of insecurity, loss, love, tenderness, rejection and what not, a child grows into a teenager and then into an adult who has faced the million dilemmas in life.
It is a  transitional stage of physical and psychological human development occurring in the beautiful years of one's life where one faces the various hurdles which one might not encounter in the later years since the teenage years build up a defensive mechanism to negative emotions holding a person strong in the future.

Depicting this alluring phase of life, Shreyasi Rhittika pens down the various journeys of a teenager in the li'l recitals of a teen's life in her compilation named, 18 Via Teen ~ BE YOURSELF and the essence of being on one's own and being what one is born to be is the best way to live one's teenage years.

The reason why these years help us make our identity is because in the end we realise that all we need to do is to be ourself and I certainly approve of this beautiful essence of the book.

It was a mystic journey as I experienced the series of emotions going up and down in my heart as I felt the hopes rising and falling, dilemmas happening, insecurities creeping in, restlessness smiling in my face as the characters felt them and sensitivity tickling me. So, the beauty of the book made me remember the last years of my teenage life and that was the best essence of the book.

All in all, it's a beauty with brains who has penned down the magic of teen years in the confined pages of this book, a must read. :)

Shreyasi Rhittika is a beauty born with brains in Jorhat, Assam. She is a twenty four years old pursuing her Masters in History from Gauhati University.
