Money, The Root of all Evil?
"A hut in which a person laughs is happier than a castle where a person cries, because I believe money isn't everything."
MONEY. A five letter word which is a root of every snag in the society. An individual possibly steals, robs, murders, rapes or even kidnaps only in the need of this one specific thing, money. A thing which we all consider is very important for our survival. What we completely forget is the fact that it is just clearly important but not a necessity.
We all might defy this but that is the basic thing, money can't buy you the inevitable things life throw at you. At that point of solace, when nothing really matters, when all you need is a six feet deep ground or a six feet high pyre, when your soul wanders to watch out for salvation, at that point, the monetary thing we own won't be taken along, in fact none of the materialistic things will because what die with us isn't what we own, but what we have.
What will die with us is the values we inherit, the impeccable love we hold for other and the faith we have cherished in our hearts since forever.
What'll die with us will be the zeal to live some more, the craving to do things we couldn't do, the regret we have for the mistakes we lived, and the hope to correct them in the near future. That's what'll die with us.
So, the thing which stands into our face is, what's the rush all about? Why is every other person running after a thing which isn't that important? Or even if it is, is it more important than the cherish-able first step of your child, or it's first word, how often do you feel that only if you would have been able to make it to that place, you would have captured another memory.
Yes, memories. Isn't that what we all live for? To make memories. So that, when there comes a time when all you have is a denture in your mouth and a stick to support you, you can hold on to those memories and live a life in solace with smile smacking back at everyone who crosses you.
Money cannot buy you memories. Money can't buy you moments which you've missed. Money cannot buy you a lifetime either, then why do we give in so much importance to it?
Earning our bread is an essential thing but having someone to share that bread, someone to appreciate our efforts to earn it and of course someone to help us eat it with a smile is all what we need otherwise there is a mansion which might await you, but only the walls, and there can be a house awaiting you but with the warmth of affiliation in your life. So, it's our choice if we prefer love surrounding us on our death beds, or greed; it's our choice whether we wish to succumb to power or a smile and remembrance on someone's face whom one might have once helped.
Why even try to validate something which does not stand valid at all? Why crave for something which doesn't even belong to us at the first place? Money, a thing which belongs to you today and someone else the some other day. Why show so much of loyalty to a thing which isn't even a bit loyal to your own destiny?
It's better that we love our morals, it's better that we smile for what we have lived and not whimper for what we have craved. One should fall for the character we inherit, the soul so pure and mystic and the integrity one holds in his heart because in the end people remember the good left behind you and not the evil.
